GAME DAY AT FLINT BOWMEN

We are going to have a Flint Bowmen Game Day on May 18. This will be filled with all kinds of fun Archery games. Most of the archery games will be inside but we are still putting together the day’s fun agenda. This will not
cost anything as it is meant to bring the membership out and just have a good time. Besides Archery games, will are planning on some serious badminton, volleyball, basketball and no telling what else.

The highlight of the day will be the rematch of Josh Coles vs. our old man President Mike Alexander in a game of one-on-one basketball. Mike won the first game 3 years ago by a landslide with Josh squeaking out a come from behind victory 2 years ago. Admission to this game is free. Please make sure oxygen and maybe an ambulance is there for Mike just in case. If Mike survives this game, he will take on any other challengers.

The games will begin at 10 AM and will continue until the fun is over. Flint Bowmen will supply a simple lunch of self-serve grill cooked hotdogs with some chips.

We will have 30 of our 3-D targets set at different angles and different distances, offering you a number of different shot scenarios. Some shots will be from the ground while others will be from elevated platforms. There will be a shot for all skill levels.

FLEA MARKET
We'll be having a flea market here at the club. Don't panic - no fleas will be involved - hopefully. You can buy, sell or trade your new or old archery equipment - anything related to archery. Tables are free and some are still available. Be sure to RSVP to reserve a table for you. Tables are available on a "first come - first served" basis. COON SHOOT - $4 per person
On Saturday there will be a night time coon shoot. Once the sun goes down, the raccoon targets go up and groups of shooters will set out with bows, arrows and a flashlight (D-cell flashlights and smaller). The targets are easily found since we place reflective dots where their eyes are and the shots are set up in a very safe manner to keep our shooters safe from harm.

Night time coon shoots have been a Flint Bowmen tradition for many many years and they are a favorite for many of the members. It's always a good time when it comes to our coon shoots. If you haven't tried it, you owe it to yourself to be here and give it a try. You'll be glad you did.
