TEAM COMPETITION
All shooting divisions, styles, classes and age groups whether adult
or youth are broken down into 3 categories FS, FSL & BB (barebow)
FS
(would include these)
All PRO, OPEN, SENIOR, MENS, WOMENS & YOUTH
FS, BHFS, IBO
FSL
(would include these)
All PRO, OPEN, SENIOR, MENS, WOMENS, & YOUTH
FSL, BHFSL
BB
(would include these)
All PRO, OPEN, SENIOR, MENS, WOMENS, & YOUTH
BB, BHBB & BB-traditional
In each of these three categories I will find the best placing for
each of the clubs in each of the three categories
FS,
FSL & BB
in a qualifying point earning class.
To qualify for a possible point earning class, a class MUST have
3 or
more shooters from at least two different clubs.
Guests are not eligible for awards of any kind and will not be
counted toward the number of shooters needed for a qualifying class.
Points are awarded as,
first place - 3 points,
second place - 2 points
third place - 1 point.
Any club who has shooters who do not earn any points for their team
but hand in completed scores would earn 1 team competition point for
having a team present. (This is one point per shoot not per
category)
An example would be if three FS shooters from your club all get 1st
place I would choose one, usually the first one I lay eyes on, who
would then earn the 3 points in that category for your club.
I hope this answers your question. Believe me this system is a lot
easier then the old method of figuring out handicaps for
every
shooter. And it's fairer, putting the smaller clubs on a more equal
footing with the very large clubs.
A little history - this proposal came from Saginaw Bowmen way back
before they joined the Sportsmen's club and became Saginaw Field &
Stream.
